Consumables
From Unusual Haunts
Consumables are items which can be consumed for a one-off benefit. They can also often be fed to Poisons, or rarely be made into Pigments.
There are three types of item which have associated rules: Pigments, which can be used to perform Rites with Rite-Paper; Rite-Paper, which can be used with Pigments for Rites; and Treats, which are harmful if you eat too many (as any dentist could tell you). An example of each is shown below:
Of all consumables, Rite-paper is the rarest, and there is at present no reliable way to produce or acquire it.
When an item can be used in the production of other items, or can be fed to Poisons, it will say so on the card, as shown below:
Crafting in this way requires one minute of appropriate role-play, such as crushing up plants, or coaxing your Poison into eating. They're fussy, after all.
In rare cases, when you have a particularly resonant idea for how certain items might be combined but the cards don't explicitly say you can, ask a ref. If your idea is both possible and resonant, there may be a way to make it happen.
Of course, all of this information is subject to updating if new and strange things are brought back from across the bridge.
