There's always the option of spending a whole activity's worth of time on something - in which case, tell a ref ''when'' you'll be doing it, and more may get done. (This is still subject to the usual limit of 1 activity change per week, mind - so if you add on (or replace something with) shenanigans, you can't change anything else that week.)

During the week, characters will rarely have too much free time - they have activities most of the time, and do need to sleep. If you want to do something else with your week in-character, talk to a ref - though given the size of the village and people's generally full timetables, this will generally be limited to things for flavour, rather than things which significantly impact the world.

There's always the option of spending a whole activity's worth of time on something - in which case, tell a ref when you'll be doing it, and more may get done. (This is still subject to the usual limit of 1 activity change per week, mind - so if you add on (or replace something with) shenanigans, you can't change anything else that week.)

You can always send letters in downtime, and doing so may induce Villagers to leap on board with your schemes.
