Consumables are items which can be consumed for a one-off benefit. They can also often be fed to Poisons, or rarely be made into Pigments.

There are two types of item which have associated rules: Pigments, which can be used to perform Rites with Rite-Paper, and Treats, which are harmful if you eat too many (as any dentist could tell you). An example of each is shown below:

When an item can be used in the production of other items, or can be fed to Poisons, it will say so on the card, as shown below:

In rare cases, when you have a particularly resonant idea for how certain items might be combined but the cards don't explicitly say you can, ask a ref. If your idea is both possible and resonant, there may be a way to make it happen.

Of course, all of this information is subject to updating if new and strange things are brought back from across the bridge.
